KNN Knabstrupper Grading UK 5th - 7th
October
The KNN
came to the UK for their third annual visit to England and their
first to Scotland.
There
were 29 Knabstruppers entered, a figure
which has doubled since the first grading in 2005, an indication
of the increasing popularity of this wonderful breed. Blacklaw
Stud had fantastic grading results this year with too
many to
list them
all individually. In England a Xhogun daughter, Maggie May, bred
by Susan Bradley
scored an
excellent
8 for type.
In Scotland a Pinocchio daughter, Captivate, bred by Balcormo
stud was awarded a First Premium to add to the one she achieved
at the SSH Grading (see below).
Blacklaw Vice Versa was Best in Show scoring an outstanding
9 overall. Xhogun our 4 year old stallion, ridden by Alec Barr,
passed his performance test very well and
was premium graded. Photos of the Scottish Grading.
The grading day in Scotland was fabulous with wonderful
sunshine and
great hospitality from Balcormo Stud. Thank you to Mr
and Mrs Low-Mitchell and everybody else who helped make the day
a success. Thank you also to the KNN for coming to Scotland.

Scottish
Sporthorse Grading 29th September
Pinocchio had
fantastic first season results with both his foals receiving
First Premiums
from the Dutch and Swedish judges at the SSH gradings. Captivate,
bred by Balcormo Stud, got a very high mark for her conformation
and Phoenix was described
by the judges as "a very good mover with a lot of elasticity".
Captivate made it a double when she was also awarded a
First Premium by the Danish judges at the
KNN
Knabstrupper grading
a week
later.

we would recommend to anyone with an interest in Knabstruppers.
It was lovely to meet fellow Knabstrupper breeders from all over
