Pinocchio
home... |
Pinocchio is now back
home having been away at stud learning all about dummy mares, AI
collection etc. His semen has been test frozen and the quality
is excellent. He is now enjoying some timeout in the field with
his best friend Yofi (our bay gelding). The plan is to restart
Pinocchio under saddle in a month or so. |

KNN
grading Baunehøj 26th and 27th August 2006 |
Another
thoroughly enjoyable trip to Denmark! The grading this time was
mainly an assessment
of young stallions for their annual licences with a
few mares and foals presented as well. The champion stallion was
Bjørnhøjgårds Sleipner a quality horse with good movement and
excellent jumping technique. A selection of photographs we took
can be viewed
here. There should
be full
results and more
pictures available on the KNN
site. |

KNN
grading Vilhelmsborg 12th August 2006 |
We
travelled again to the KNN grading in Denmark which was, as
usual, a fantastic day. It presents an opportunity to see many
Knabstruppers of different
breeding in one place. We would recommend
anyone with an interest in Knabstruppers to try and attend these
events.
To see some
pictures that we took on the day click
here. Unfortunately it
was raining so hard at times that we were unable to photograph
every horse so it is only a small selection. Please remember
that these are only snaps so may not always show the horses
at their best! We also took short videos of most of the horses
indoors and if you are
interested
to see them please contact us. There
will be full results and pictures posted on the KNN
site.

Xcalibur
one year on... |
2005 |
Xcalibur
is maturing into a fine big Knabstrupper colt. We still plan
to put him forward for stallion testing when he is older
and have high hopes for him. He has a super easy temperament
and
is a pleasure to have around. He obviously knew that we were
coming with the camera and had a good roll in the red clay
beforehand!

Xhogun
started under saddle |
|
Xhogun
has now successfully been backed. He took to being ridden very
well and was popping a little jump after six weeks. He then
had a couple of months break in the field with our gelding
and has now gone to England for further training. Apologies
for the quality of the photos...

Pinocchio
is now graded with Scottish Sports Horse |
Pinocchio
Middelsom, our Knabstrupper stallion, was graded with Scottish
Sports Horses on April 8th. He
showed again
his
excellent
talent for jumping and received good marks / comments for his technique.
Pictures and more information can be seen on the stallions page.
At
the 2005 UK KNN grading he had the highest score for loose jumping
amongst the four stallions presented. |

Another
two Knabstruppers for the UK ...
Mrs L Knowles & her daughter Claire have recently imported the leopard spotted
Knabstrupper stallion Stavsdals Jackpot (by Stavsdals Lobi), pictured left,
and
his
son
Rughavens Jackpot. Stavsdals Jackpot is also the sire of Sheik who is featured
on our News 2005 page. Stavsdals
Jackpot began his competitive career, ridden by dressage trainer Claire Knowles,
with a score of over 78% to win his Novice Freestyle class, qualifying for the
Regional finals. Claire has also been placed 1st & 2nd in two Novice classes
with him. Jackpot has also fitted in some showjumping with a double clear in
the Chiltern & Thames open qualifier, coming third, just missing championship
qualification by 0.5 seconds.
Rughavens Jackpot is currently being backed by Claire & it
is planned he
too
will be out competing this year. |
