Pinocchio is a charming black near leopard spotted Knabstrupper. He is by Plet af Engvang who has interesting old Knabstrupper bloodlines and scored highly for his loose jumping at grading. Plet af Engvang is also a black based leopard spotted Knabstrupper stallion fully graded by the KNN. Pinocchio is Plet's only fully graded stallion son to date. Plet has not had many foals but they do show a super jumping technique.

Pinocchio's dam descends from the warmblood stallion Raimondo. Raimondo is well known as the sire of jumpers and is the damsire of Lando, the Olympic showjumper. Pinocchio's damsire, Xanthos, is a graded leopard spotted Knabstrupper stallion who has been awarded a silver medal for his offspring. Pinocchio's dam is a full sister to the two Life Approved KNN Knabstrupper stallions Xquisit and Xantast Middelsom. Xquisit is currently competing PSG level dressage.

Pinocchio is noticed by everyone for his outstanding markings, endearing nature and jumping ability. He absolutely loves to jump and has excellent technique. He has a fantastic, intelligent temperament and good conformation. He was lightly started under saddle in 2007 with the aim of passing his performance test which he achieved. Since then he has done very little under saddle but has recently been brought back into work with the aim of competing him in the near future.

Pinocchio has only been very lightly used for breeding and has not been available at public stud. To date he has had four foals all of excellent quality. The two fillies were presented at the Scottish Sports Horse gradings in front of Dutch and Swiss judges and both achieved a First Premium. One filly was also shown at the KNN Grading where she was awarded another First Premium. His buckskin colt foal Blacklaw Pelorus also received a First Premium with SSH. His fewspot colt Blacklaw Viking was Premium Graded by the KNN and awarded a stallion Licence for 2011.
