Citizen Kane was the first horse we bred. His dam, Ryan's Mist, was the first mare owned by Annabel and she was responsible for starting our interest in breeding horses. Ryan's Mist was an Irish Sports Horse of unknown breeding who was both talented and good looking. She was put in foal to the thoroughbred stallion Standard Bearer and Kane was the result. Kane has provided us with great fun over the years. He successfully evented, completing three 3 Day Events and was placed at two star level. He has also competed successfully in showjumping and dressage. Now in his later years he enjoys life with us hacking out and doing the odd competition.
